I care a lot about education. I find the most meaning in life by blurring the line between learning and teaching (aren't they kind-of the same thing?) alongside humans I respect and admire (kids and adults alike). I want to help people of all ages take their interests seriously and learn how to think, not what to think.
Studying film production at NYU Tisch and digital media at UCLA led me to discover my love of teaching design and art. Over the years I've TA'd numerous studio and lab courses, ran creative workshops for high school students, co-led and designed curriculum for a technology-focused student org, and taught middle-schoolers electronics.
I aim to help people understand themselves, their creative potential, and their capability for greatness.
Guest critiques & speaking
I'm always excited to guest crit a design course — drop me a note email@example.com if you're in need of a kind critic!
I also love a good discussion. In the past I've been interviewed on the Metamuse podcast, Highlighter Ideas, and spoken at design and filmmaking panels hosted by AIGA LA, Climate Angels, and Mendocino Film Festival. Say hi if you'd like to chat, whether in front of a crowd or otherwise.
